Blxst @ Gallagher Square at Petco Park San Diego, CA
Blxst brought the I’ll Always Come Find You Tour to Gallagher Square at Petco Park in San Diego on November 21, delivering an unforgettable performance. The LA native has been making waves in the West Coast music scene, with highlights like his feature on Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album on the track “Die Hard,” a global success in 2022. Known for seamlessly blending singing and rapping, Blxst has drawn comparisons to fellow West Coast legends like Ty Dolla $ign and Nate Dogg.
This summer marked a major milestone in Blxst’s career with the release of his long-awaited debut studio album, I’ll Always Come Find You. The album boasts features from heavyweights like 2 Chainz, Offset, Anderson .Paak, Feid, and Becky G. The tour’s stage design was one of its standout elements, reflecting Blxst’s artistry and his Los Angeles roots. The stage resembled an auto repair shop, complete with vintage-style signage and a classic black car reminiscent of the one on his album cover. To complement the theme, backup dancers dressed as mechanics delivered stunning choreography that elevated the performance.
The San Diego crowd radiated love for Blxst, something he acknowledged multiple times throughout the night. While the tour highlighted tracks from his latest album, Blxst didn’t forget his loyal day-one fans, performing deep cuts like “Be Alone,” “Every Good Girl,” “Hurt,” and “Forever Humble.” A highlight of the night came when Joyce Wrice, his tour opener, joined him on stage to perform their collaboration “Better Off Friends.” Their harmonies serenaded the crowd, turning the R&B anthem into a live experience to remember.
From the thoughtfully crafted stage design to Blxst’s commanding presence, the West Coast was on full display in San Diego that night. Fans who missed the show can look forward to more music, as Blxst recently announced the deluxe edition of I’ll Always Come Find You. With even more tracks on the horizon, it’s clear that Blxst is just getting started.
